Students of English-speaking groups study English according to an in-depth program, taking into account the specifics of their language training and the need to study an additional array of terminology in general education subjects.
In the modern world, integration processes in the field of air transport are becoming more widespread. For successful work and exchange of information, specialists in the aviation industry must, first of all, find a common language in the truest sense of the word. In recent decades, the role of such a common language has been played by English. It is recognized as one of the five official languages of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the language of radio communications for aircraft flying on international airlines. There is a stereotype that you can quickly and efficiently learn English – just attend some of the newest and very expensive intensive courses. However, as evidenced by modern psychological and didactic research, this is a myth. You can only master the language while constantly being in the language environment, for example, by studying in English.
That is why, with the aim of high-quality training of aviation industry specialists who are able to withstand any competition in the labor market, in 2008, for the first time in Ukraine, a group with English language of instruction in the specialty “Transport technologies (on air transportation)” was opened at the Air transportation management department, and in 2013, the first graduation of masters of the English-speaking group, consisting of 10 students, has already been completed.
