On November 27, 2020, based on the Air Transportation Management Department of the Faculty of Transport, Management and Logistics, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of the organization of aviation, multimodal transportation and the use of aviation in sectors of the economy” was held.
The purpose of the meeting was the need to discuss the problems of organizing aviation, multimodal transportation, and the use of aviation in sectors of the economy, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic. Experts from airlines, departments, researchers, students, postgraduate students and young scientists were involved in an active dialogue in the field of aviation.
Thematic areas of the conference were:
- problems and prospects for the development of air transportation and technologies;
- development of multimodal transportation in Ukraine;
- the use of aviation in sectors of the economy: prospects for the introduction of new technologies.
As a result of participation in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of the organization of aviation, multimodal transportation and the use of aviation in sectors of the economy” dated November 27, 2020, more than 70 students and postgraduates published their scientific achievements. Also, experts from airlines, departments, researchers, scientists took an active part in the conference, the total number of which was 38 participants, 17 of whom were employees of the Air Transportation Management Department.
In the presented materials, actual problems and results of scientific research on the development of air transportation and technologies, multimodal transportation and the use of aviation in sectors of the economy are considered.
Also, students and postgraduates of the Air Transportation Management Departmen constantly take part in the Scientific and Practical Conference for Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists “Innovative Technologies” within the section “Transport Technologies”, which is annually held based on the Institute of Advanced Technologies and Leadership of the National Aviation University.
As a result of participation in the XVII Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists “Innovative Technologies” on November 25-27, 2020, 27 (55) theses of reports of students, postgraduates of the ATM Department were published within the section: “Transport technologies”. 16 students headed by postgraduate students of the department made their reports within the section “Transport technologies” of the XVII Scientific-practical conference of students, postgraduate students, doctoral students and young scientists “Innovative technologies” on November 25-26, 2020, their abstracts were published in electronic collection of the conference and placed in the repository of the scientific and technical library of NAU.
As a result of participation in the XVII Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Students and Young Scientists “Innovative Technologies” on November 25-27, 2020, 55 abstracts of reports of students, postgraduates of the Department of Air Transportation Organization were published within the section: “Transport Technologies”. Of these, 27 reports were prepared by students independently, 28 – under the guidance of teachers of the department.

Participation of students of the Air Transportation Management Department in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of the organization of aviation, multimodal transportation and the use of aviation in sectors of the economy”
As a result of participation in the International scientific-practical conference “Problems of the organization of aviation, multimodal transportation and the use of aviation in sectors of the economy” at November 27, 2020 more than 50 students and graduate students of the Air Transportation Management Department published their scientific achievements, 45 thesis of reports were published. 42 of them – in the section “Problems and prospects of air transport and technology development”, 2 – in the section “Development of multimodal transport in Ukraine”, and 1 – in the section “Application of aviation in industries: prospects for the introduction of new technologies”. Of these, 7 reports were prepared by students independently, 38 reports – under the guidance of teachers of the department.

On 07.12.2020, at the Center for the Organization of Educational and Scientific Activities of Students and Young Scientists of the Institute of Advanced Technologies and Leadership of the NAU, an awards ceremony was held for students and postgraduate students of the Air Transportation Management Department – the most active participants of the XVII Scientific and Technical Conference of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Student “Innovative Technologies”.
For scientific works presented at the section “Transport Technologies”, diplomas of I-III degrees were awarded to:
– Yuri Bortnik (OP-202 Ba), Karina Dogonova (OP-202 Ba), Eva Matling (OP-303 Ba) – awarded first degree diplomas;
– Anna Ayrapetyan (OP-303 Ba), Artem Zelinsky (OP-303 Ba), Oleksiy Nesterov (OP-102 Ma) – awarded diplomas of the II degree;
– Veronika Tikhonova (OP-303 Ba), Alina Zatelepa (OP-303 Ba), Maria Godovska (OP-303 Ba) – awarded diplomas of III degree.
Another 20 conference participants were gratefully noted for their active participation in the work of the “Transport Technologies” section.
Publications: The number of published articles and Theses of the reports in the 2020 calendar year is 75, of which 34 are independent and 43 are co-authored with teachers.
